One sword, ten claus, two friends. This is the tale of a unique friendship between a fiery young girl and her fire-breathing dragon. Jane is twelve years old and training to be a knight. It's a tough job proving herself to the King to her parents and to the other knights. But Jane does have a little help-she has a giant green dragon by her side. Dreams can come true-even a young girl's dream of becoming a knight in the King's Guard. Jane was training to be a Lady-in-Waiting, but dreaming of becoming a knight. Then one day a dragon came and stole away the Royal Prince. Jane set off to comfront the best in his cave, and made friends with the big 300 year old puppy. For saving his son the King Jane an apprentice Knight. Keeping a fire-breathing dragon under control is a full time responsibility, Cute is not always cuddly. Having a fire breathing monster for a best friend has its own special problems. Sure he comes in very handly most of the time, but he can turn Jane's world to charcoal if he wants to. Imagine the adventure of flying among the clouds, upon a dragon's back! Riding a pony is fun, riding a dragon is INCREDIBLE! Climb up behind that proud green head, hold tight to his horns and push down with the heels - riding the clouds with this big hearted beast is not for the fainthearted. Becoming a kight is tough. Becoming a young lady - even tougher! Being a knights is not very ladylike. Needlepont and jousting don't sit well together and it's hard to make friends at the point of a sword. But Jane does her best and her friends are very proud of her even with the dragon watching their every move Very close. A knight's home is her castle. And this home comes complete with a very large family of friends. Jane lives in a large Medieval castle, but she never alone or lonely. She is surround by a family of eccentric and endearing friends. There are knights and castle staff, the Royal Court and a stable full of horses-and up in the battlements watching over them all is her dragon. This is a world ripe with adventures for a young girl and her big best friend.
